In support of a stronger cooperation in Aviation Research the Signatories of the AREANA Synergy MoU Group have agreed to publish their first JoinED Call, to be applicable for funding programmes starting after 15th October 2025 which are able to deliver a preliminary funding indication till latest 31st of October 2026 (individual national/regional deadlines apply, refer to national/regional official procedures!).
7 funding organisations from 5 countries, Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Romania and United Kingdom, are participating in this joined call.
The call purpose is to fund transnational research focussing on wide range of aviation related topics, in particular but not exclusively (national restrictions may apply):
- Alternative, climate-neutral drive technologies (open to all energy sources),
- Reduction of energy demand, and
- Increased competitiveness, performance and operational efficiency of aviation
- Improvements in safety, resource efficiency and reduction of the ecological footprint

Please note that for those national calls that haven’t been launched yet, the websites may contain data referring to older calls which should provide some general impressions about the next calls. Nevertheless, in your applications, you have to refer to final rules and guidelines of the new calls, once they are officially published.
