Advancing Aviation Together – Strengthening International Research Synergies
Following the successful launch of the International JoinED Call 2025/26, the AREANA Project and the Signatories of the AREANA Synergy MoU Group are pleased to announce an upcoming online Information Event titled “Shaping the Future of Aviation – Multinational Collaborations and Aviation Synergies.”
The event will take place on 27 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 CET, and aims to further strengthen international cooperation in aviation research and innovation. Building on the momentum of the JoinED Call, this session will provide prospective applicants and research stakeholders with detailed insights into the call’s objectives, structure, and national application procedures, as well as opportunities for cross-border collaboration.
About the International JoinED Call
The International JoinED Call 2025/26 aims to support transnational research projects across a wide range of aviation-related topics, with particular focus on:
- Alternative, climate-neutral drive technologies (open to all energy sources)
- Reduction of energy demand in aviation
- Enhanced competitiveness, performance, and operational efficiency
- Improvements in safety, resource efficiency, and reduction of the ecological footprint
Seven funding organisations from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, and the United Kingdom are participating in this joint initiative, marking a milestone in European and international aviation research collaboration.
About the Event
During the Info-Event, representatives of the participating funding entities will provide:
- An overview of the JoinED Call 2025/26 objectives and structure
- Insights into national rules and specific application procedures
- Guidance and possibilities on building international research consortia and opportunities for collaboration
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical insights into preparing proposals under the upcoming call.
