On 27 November 2025, more than 240 participants from 11 countries came together for the official online presentation of the International JoinED Call 2025/26—an important step toward fostering deeper multinational cooperation in aviation research and innovation.
Initiated under the umbrella of the AREANA Synergies Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Group, this event marked a key milestone in the development of cross-border synergies to support the advancement of a climate-neutral, competitive, and safe aviation sector across Europe and beyond.
The JoinED Call 2025/26 unites national funding organisations to co-finance transnational research and development projects in the field of aviation. During the session, representatives from the participating funding bodies provided detailed guidance on national rules, application procedures, and eligibility criteria—empowering attendees to navigate the complexities of joint proposals with greater confidence.
Participants received a clear overview of the call’s objectives, thematic scope, and strategic framework, with a particular emphasis on building effective international research consortia. The session also served as a platform to encourage collaboration across disciplines and borders, addressing common challenges and fostering innovation in future aviation technologies.
